Aabout “Save Aarey” articles series by Mumbai Mirror. I have read articles with number of trees getting cut, but I never saw a map projecting exactly in which area of Aarey these trees are getting cut. News paper has to present views of both sides & let readers decide than after. I don’t think even half space is given to pro-metro train opinions. Human chains are created to oppose projects like Metro, it’s good to see people care about environment & come out to oppose on the spot. Let’s understand their demographics, geographics & Psychographics. We may have some different insights. At the same time, let’s speak with few people who are going to be beneficiaries of such projects. The person who is standing in SEEPZ, just outside Metro Yard under construction, waiting for an Auto or bus for hrs, struggling under heavy rain, finally starts walking towards home. No one gives her/him lift, as so called privileged people’s car will become dirty. These walkers on the road, travellers in auto or the brave travellers of local trains, don’t have time to come & express their opinion. They may not give written feedback to Mirror also, as they had silently voted their preference. They are busy in surviving this city, let’s present their views also.
