Appreciate high morale ground taken by Govt earlier of not saving organisations which were in trouble because of their own sins partially &amp; partially by burocratic hurdles in resolving genuine issues.</p><p style="text-align:left;font-size:18px;"><br></p><p style="text-align:left;font-size:18px;">All decisions were for long term benefits of nation, like GST, bankruptcy code, etc. Process driven recovery or Jugad based recovery. Till now everything was process driven. Is it still relevant....!?”</span></p><span style="color:inherit;"><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">From childhood, most of us have good-bad memories of diary, school diary&nbsp;<span style="margin-right:1px;margin-left:1px;"><span style="vertical-align:text-bottom;width:16px;font-size:16px;">😁</span></span>.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">That diary represents lot of basic management fundamentals, time &amp; work management, planning, monitoring, processes, back-up, emergency preparedness, calendar, to-do list, annual planning, monthly planning, two way communication.</p><div><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">Ideally, when we reach corporate life, we need to learn &amp; implement certain things from that diary habits to be successful in corporate world.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">Few believe in writing things on small-small chits, few in hand, few note down number in calculator temporarily, few in open word or excel of laptop or computer, few write down in the nearest note-pad available &amp; than carry same, few remove paper from that notepad &amp; carry, few rely on notes made by others. All these are not so good habits.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">There are team leaders who will not give any instruction to subordinate till the time he/she doesn’t have his/her diary in hand. No mobile number or a figure or any instruction will be shared till the time subordinate has not opened diary to note down same. Initial strictness is good for subordinates.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">With changing time, habit of making notes properly in gizmos(electronic diary) can replace physical diary, setting up task reminders in gizmos can replace task lists in physical diary. We just need to understand that physical diary or electronic diary, the basics remain same, bottom line use it.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">It’s individual choice &amp; the way individual was trained in early years of career, just like in school. First boss or good practices surrounding in initial years helps a lot. Professionally conducted meetings or exposure to board meetings can be fortunate experience in early years.</p><p style="margin-bottom:6px;">Be organised, note down &amp; monitor. We were part of installation team which was very important location &amp; used to cater larger part of country. Any disruption over that can have larger ramifications. The way of managing situation here was to make our hands dirty, your all fundamentals get cleared for life time. Keeping our routine jobs aside, filling train wagons with fuel by operating everything by taking total control. Let me tell you, one train equals to burning energy equivalent to one full meal. Means how many trains you manage those many meals you have to take in a day. What helped additionally to make learnings robust, the handmade drawings created by us for each &amp; every major pipeline in the tank farm with Color code.</p><p style="text-align:left;"><br></p><p style="text-align:left;">What was loss, the most favorite Kite flying festival of Gujarat, no gain without sacrifice.</p><p><span style="color:inherit;"></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><br></p><p style="text-align:left;">What gained, the wisdom of village, (&amp; Champi, &amp; tasty Paan). Though 95% were on strike, there were few who were working, we had deployed few on contracts. The wisdom of village was another learning, those few operating with us developed strong bond during such situation. While walking along trains with those front-line employees gave us lot of insights on Onion Politics (even valid today), Sugar Politics, PAP policies viewed by the affected people, theft of fuel &amp; pollution impact on ground water.</p><p style="text-align:left;"><br></p></div>
